Summarizing Scripture as I read the Word of God

I have been trying something different as I read the Word of God (the Holy Bible).

I am using a reading Bible (the k8nd with no Scripture references or verse numbers so it can be read like a book.

I have been summarizing it in my own words.

And then looking up any verse God puts in my heart. 

I also write out a verse or two (or several).

As I journal and pray through each verse slowly and deliberately. 

Then I take time to stop and listen to what God wants to share with me.

This new practice has really been a special and sacred time.

I think I have a new way of reading the Bible.

This has thoroughly blessed me.
